What to expect in 2021

What You Need To Know

Thank you for being a backer!  We have some exciting updates for you today.

In this update:

  • We are on track in our production schedule
  • Shipping dates remain unchanged (June 2021)
  • New and improved digital version is launching soon
  • Book your hosted experience starting in Jan (a perfect holiday gift)

Making the physical game

A lot goes into making a card game. We are currently negotiating with manufacturers overseas to make sure you get the best game we can possibly pump out. At the same time, we are finalizing our cards for all our games: the boxed game, the Kickstarter Exclusive, the 2020: Year of the A.S.S. expansion, and the new premium digital version (more on that later!)

We are currently on track to ship everything for June 2021, as we hoped, just in time for Fathers Day and graduations. If anything changes on that front we will let you know right away.

New Premium Digital Version

We are currently testing a new premium digital version of the game that we will release soon to an adoring public. This is a paid product that anyone can purchase and play online with their friends.

Why a premium version? We wanted to make sure that as many people as possible get to play the game, and going digital AND physical was the best way to do that. But we did not want to give away the content our backers paid for to others for free. Charging for the full digital game also lets us pay our web hosting fees and continue to update content each season to keep it fresh.

And guess what? If you backed us on Kickstarter, or if you buy the boxed game from our Preorder Store, we will send you a FREE 1-year membership to say thank you.

This means you will get to start playing the full game online very soon, hopefully before the new year! We are very excited about this, and hope you have fun playing with friends and family. Laughter is the best medicine other than a vaccine, after all.

Keep your eyes peeled for updates. The link will come to your inbox soon!

Hosted Experiences Beginning 2021

If you are one of the fortunate souls who purchased a hosted experience, you and your friends could start playing as early as January! We will start taking reservations after the holidays, and Jon will be hosting groups on the new premium website (free to you and your friends, of course). Please keep an eye on your inbox for a message from us with a link for scheduling your game.

Weren't able to back us for a hosted experience during the campaign? No sweat. You can book Jon and Jenny to play at our preorder store. A hosted experience makes a great Holiday gift!

That about wraps it up. If you have any questions, please reach out. We love hearing from our backers.

Yours anti-socially,

Sam and the A.S.S. Team!
